How to Buy NFTs on The Pixel Gallery

How to Buy NFTs on The Pixel Gallery

We love making The Pixel Gallery delightfully easy to use for our users, and taking payments is no exception to this pattern. We our proud to be able to offer payments for our NFTs in both fiat (government-issued) currencies and the cryptocurrency ADA. By offering payment in government issued currencies, we hope to make NFTs accessible to a whole new class of buyers outside of crypto. This guide will walk you through the process of buying an NFT, so you know what to expect at each step of the process.

The Purchase Menu

The purchase menu shows all of the available methods of payment for a given artwork. At present, The Pixel Gallery has two options: fiat payments with Stripe, and crypto payments with an ADA transaction.

To open the purchase menu, navigate to the artwork listing of the artwork you'd like to buy and click "Buy NFT Now".

Clicking the "Buy NFT Now" button, opens a menu with two screens. Switch between them by clicking on the radio button. The first screen allows payment via Stripe.

The fiat (government-issued currency) payment screen.

The second screen allows payments via Cardano.

The cryptocurrency payment screen.

Paying with Fiat

Make sure the first radio button is selected to make a debit/credit card payment.

To pay with fiat, click the "Pay with Stripe" button, which will take you to the payment form, shown below.

This is an example of a Stripe checkout page.

Fill in your details and click on pay to complete the payment.

Paying with ADA

The Pixel Gallery allows for payments with ADA by a standard ADA wallet transaction.

Use the QR code to scan the address or simply click copy to copy the address to your clipboard.

To obtain the wallet address to which the ADA should be sent, either use the QR code, or click copy to copy the wallet address.

Once the transaction is sent, click the "Transaction Sent" button which will notify us that a payment for the artwork has been made.

Once the Payment Is Complete

Once a payment is completed, you will be sent a confirmatory email, the artwork will be sent to be minted into an NFT, and the artwork will appear in your wallet.

Your new NFT will appear in your wallet once the transaction has been successfully confirmed by the payment processor.

Once the NFT is minted, the product listing will now display a "Minting Information" panel, with links to the asset in various blockchain explorers.

The "Minting Information" panel will show all of the references to your NFT on the Cardano blockchain, including in various block explorers, as well as the image stored on IPFS.
